RESUMEN

Se realiza un estudio observacional y retrospectivo para caracterizar las malformaciones congénitas del sistema nervioso central en fetos y los determinantes maternos reguladores del desarrollo asociados a ellas durante el período 2006-2010 en Guantánamo. El universo está constituido por 61 gestantes a cuyos fetos se les diagnostican malformaciones del Sistema Nervioso Central. Los datos son obtenidos de las historias clínicas archivadas en el Centro de Genética Provincial. Las malformaciones se diagnostican principalmente en los años 2007 y 2010, destacándose la anencefalia y la hidrocefalia. Predominan las madres de procedencia rural, con edades de 18 a 35 años y escolaridad politécnica o preuniversitaria. La falta de ingestión de ácido fólico de las madres. Previa a la gestación. Resultó ser el determinante materno asociado más identificado en la aparición de malformaciones congénitas del sistema nervioso central(AU)

ABSTRACT

A retrospective and observational study is done to characterize congenital malformations of the central nervous system in fetuses and maternal determinants of growth regulators associated with them from 2006 to 2010, Guantanamo. The universe is made up of 61 pregnant women whose fetuses are diagnosed with malformations of the central nervous system. Data are obtained from the medical records filed at the Provincial Genetics Center. Malformations are diagnosed primarily on the years 2007 and 2010, highlighting anencephaly and hydrocephalus.
