Análisis del programa de la asignatura Psiquiatría en la carrera de Medicina / Analysis of the Syllabus of the Subject Psychiatry in the Medicine University Studies

RESUMEN

En el presente trabajo se destaca el carácter social de la educación médica cubana, al formar profesionales que responden al encargo social que la sociedad le plantea a la escuela y en breve reseña histórica se describen los planes de estudio de la enseñanza médica cubana, desde 1728 hasta la actualidad. El objetivo del trabajo es realizar el análisis crítico del programa de la asignatura Psiquiatría en la carrera de medicina. El desarrollo del trabajo se sustenta en el análisis de los datos generales, de la fundamentación del programa, de los objetivos generales educativos, instructivos y temáticos con sus reformulaciones. Le continúan el plan temático, la distribución y fondo de tiempo por temas y formas de organización de la enseñanza; la estructura del contenido, teniendo en cuenta el sistema de habilidades, el sistema de conocimientos y el sistema de valores; el método; los medios de enseñanza; las orientaciones metodológicas; la relación entre los componentes del proceso educativo; la literatura docente y su propuesta. Se selecciona el tema 4, correspondiente a los trastornos de etiología predominantemente emocional, para realizar el análisis de la unidad didáctica. Se concluye que en el programa de la asignatura Psiquiatría no se incluyen todos los elementos requeridos; los objetivos generales instructivos y temáticos tienen dificultades en la habilidad, en el nivel de sistematicidad y en el nivel de profundidad; la categoría contenido se aborda solamente mediante el sistema de conocimiento; la unidad didáctica analizada tiene errores en los objetivos y en el contenido (AU)

ABSTRACT

This work deals with the social character of the Cuban medical education, which trains the future professionals responding to the social assignment set by the society to the school. In a brief historical overview, the different curricula of the Cuban medical education since 1728 up today are described. The objective of this work is to carry out a critical analysis to the syllabus of the subject Psychiatry for Medicine. The work is supported by the analysis of the general data, the foundations of the syllabus and the general educative, instructive and thematic objectives. Other aspects analyzed are the theme plan, the distribution of time per theme, the teaching organization forms, and the content structure, taking into account the systems of knowledge, abilities and values, the methods and the teaching aids, the methodological guidelines, the relationship among the components of the educational process, the bibliography and its proposal. To carry out the analysis of a didactic unit we selected theme 4, which deals with the emotional disorders. We conclude that the syllabus of the subject does not contain all the required elements the general educative and thematic objective have difficulties with the ability, the systematization level as well as the depth level. Besides, the category of content is dealt with only by means of the knowledge system. The didactic unit analyzed has mistakes in the objectives and in the content (AU)
