Comportamiento de las Enfermedades Diarreicas por Salmonellas en niños, Hospital Pediátrico Luís A Milanés Tamayo, 2005-2008 / Behaviour of diarrhea diseases caused by salmonellas in children: Luis A Milanés Tamayo: 2005-2008

RESUMEN

Se realizó un estudio analítico retrospectivo para caracterizar las diarreas por salmonellas en niños ingresados en el Servicio de Gastroenterología del Hospital Luís A. Milanés, en Bayamo, Granma, en el período 2005-2008. Universo 4177 niños de 0 a 18 meses ingresados en dicho servicio. Muestra 277 pacientes portadores de Salmonelosis, seleccionados por muestreo intencional no probabilístico. Se estudiaron las variables años de ocurrencia, edad, sexo, tipo de diarrea, tipo de lactancia, estado nutricional y complicaciones. Se utilizó el OR y un nivel de significación de Alfa = 0,05. Predominó el año 2005, la diarrea aguda, el grupo etáreo de 0 a 6 meses, el no uso de lactancia materna. La afectación del estado nutricional no fue significativa. Predominaron, en orden decreciente, como complicaciones el desequilibrio hidromineral, la anemia y la disbacteriosis(AU)

ABSTRACT

It was carried out a retrospective, analytic research to characterize diarrheas caused by salmonellas in hospitalized children in Gastroenterology Service of Luis A Milanés Tamayo hospital in Bayamo, Granma during the period 2005-2008. Universe 4177 children from 0 to 18 months, hospitalized in the aforesaid service. Sample 277 patients with salmonellosis, selected by non-probabilistic intentional samples.
