RESUMEN
Se analizan los fundamentos históricos de la universalización de la educación médica superior desde sus bases en el pensamiento fidelista, los antecedentes de la formación de recursos humanos profesionales para la salud en Cuba y los elementos que sustentan su estrategia actual desde las características de la batalla de ideas y el perfeccionamiento del proyecto socialista cubano.(AU)
ABSTRACT
The historical grounds of the universalization of medical superior education were analized since the bases upon the fidelista thought, the antecedents of the formation of professional human resources for health development in Cuba and the elements that support their present strategy since the characteristics of the battle of ideas and the improvement of the socialist Cuban project.(EU)
