Las reuniones de las comisiones de ética médica / The meetings of the Medical Ethics Commissions

RESUMEN

Las comisiones de Ética Médica enfrentan un doble reto, por un lado se han insertado en los procesos de reorganización del sistema de salud, y por otro han afrontando el reto de su propio proceso reorganizativo recibiendo, en no pocos casos, amenazas con limitada visión de las oportunidades. La Resolución Ministerial No 138, expedida por el Ministerio de Salud Pública en 2009, empoderó a las comisiones con una herramienta jurídica que facilita sus funciones. A modo de respuesta a inquietudes, que son frecuentemente expuestas a los presidentes y demás miembros de las comisiones de Ética Médica, en relación con el funcionamiento y la pertinencia de las mismas, se decidió redactar este artículo. El documento pretende ser el inicio de una serie que profundice en el sentido, el funcionamiento y la importancia de esos grupos asesores que con desinterés, trabajan por incrementar la calidad en la atención médica(AU)

ABSTRACT

The Medical Ethics Commissions affront a double challenge; from one hand they have been inserted in the health system reorganization processes, and from the other hand they have faced the challenge of their proper reorganization process, receiving, in many cases, menaces with limited opportunity vision. The Ministerial Resolution Nr 138, issued by the Ministry of Public Health in 2009, empowered the commissions with a juridical tool facilitating their functions. As an answer to questions related with the functioning and pertinence of the Medical Ethics Commissions, asked to their presidents and other members, we decided to redact this article. The document pretends to be the beginning of a series going deeper in the sense, functioning and importance of these groups of consultants who unselfishly work for increasing medical care quality(AU)
