Background:
The AIDS association with different auto-immunological disorders is an interesting topic in the study of this disease for many years although it may seem contradictory the onset of the auto-immunology in an immunodeficiency, there are clinical and laboratory evidences that show its presence in a group of patients. Objective:
To show that it is not infrequent the association of auto-immunological conditions with the AIDS virus. Development It is about the knowledge of the main auto-immunological AIDS manifestations such as hemolymphoyetic, endocrinological, vascular, hepatobilliary, osteoarticullary and systemic diseases and with a great variety of antibodies are present. It is important the presentation of the experience of the authors during 6 months in Africa, where there were auto-immunological manifestations in 8 patients out of 264.Conclusions:
The auto-immunological manifestation may be more frequent than expected in the AIDS infection although there may be diagnostic difficulties. The study of the exact mechanisms of production, the frequency and prognosis of these auto-immunological conditions in AIDS has been deeply investigated but there is still a long way to go(AU)
