RESUMEN

Introducción:

el consumo de drogas constituye un fenómeno en crecimiento acelerado que acarrea altos costos individuales y sociales.

Objetivo:

caracterizar los pacientes con adicciones atendidos en el Consultorio Las Mangas en el período 2004-2012.

Método:

tipo de estudio descriptivo transversal. Universo 210 consumidores abusivos conocidos, muestra 66. Variables estudiadas edad, sexo, nivel cultural, antecedentes individuales y familiares de consumo, tipos de droga, funcionamiento familiar, patogenia del consumo, estado conyugal, aceptación del medio familiar, características principales de la personalidad, examen psicológico y psiquiátrico. La información se obtuvo de historias clínicas, entrevistas a pacientes y familiares. Los resultados se llevaron a una base de datos realizada en SPSS versión 15, se usaron como medida de resumen números absolutos y porcentajes.

Resultados:

predominaron los varones solteros (53 por ciento), entre 27 a 36 años (n ═ 37; 56 por ciento), nivel secundario (66.6 por ciento), inicio de consumo entre 10 y 19 años (43.9 por ciento), poliadicciones (n ═ 46; 69.6 por ciento), con trastornos disocial de la personalidad y provenientes de familias disfuncionales (71.2 por ciento).

Conclusiones:

las drogas más utilizadas fueron los psicofármacos, seguida del cigarro y el alcohol; la droga ilícita más usada fue la marihuana(AU)
ABSTRACT

Introduction:

the consumption of drugs constitutes an accelerated growth phenomenon that involves elevated individual and social costs.

Objective:

to characterize the patients with addictions attended in the medical office Las Mangas in the period 2004-2012.

Method:

type of study descriptive transversal. Universe 210 abusive consumers, Sample 66. Study variables age, sex, cultural level, individual and familiar antecedents of consumption, types of drug, familiar functioning, pathogenia of the consumption, marital status, acceptance of the familiar environment, and main characteristics of the personality, psychological and psychiatric examination. The information was obtained through the clinical records, interviews to patients and the family. The results were gathered in a database performed in SPSS version 15, the summary measure was the absolute numbers and percentages.

Results:

the single men prevailed (53 percent), between 27 to 36 years (n 37; 56 percent), secondary level (66.6 percent), the beginning of consumption between 10 and 19 years (43.9 percent), poly addictions (n 46; 69.6 percent), with dissocial disorders of the personality, and from dysfunctional families (71.2 percent).

Conclusions:

the most used drugs were the psycho active drugs, followed by the cigar and the alcohol and the illicit drug used was the marihuana(EU)
