RESUMEN
Se realizó un estudio observacional descriptivo sobre la incidencia del virus del papiloma humano asociado a las neoplasia intraepitelial cervical en pacientes atendidas en la consulta de patología de cuello en el año 2009 del Hospital Provincial “Dr. Antonio Luaces Iraola” de Ciego de Ávila. El universo estuvo constituido por las 152 pacientes que se les diagnosticó neoplasia intraepitelial del cuello uterino en el periodo estudiado y la muestra estuvo constituida por las 141 pacientes con el diagnóstico del virus del papiloma humano asociado a la neoplasia intraepitelial cervical. A esta muestra se les aplicó encuestas donde se recogieron las variables edad, primeras relaciones sexuales, paridad, hábitos tóxicos, grados de diagnóstico citológico y lesiones colposcópicas, para un posterior procesamiento de los datos de forma computarizada, se llega a las siguientes

conclusiones:

La relación de las neoplasia intraepitelial cervical asociadas al virus del papiloma Humano fue de un 92.8 por ciento, la lesión de bajo grado tipo I obtuvo el mayor número de casos con un 67 por ciento. Los tres factores de riesgo que mayor relación mostrados fueron La edad de comienzo de las relaciones sexuales en el grupo de 16 a 20 años con 59.6 por ciento y el hábito de fumar con 68 por ciento y las lesiones colposcópicas que predominaron fueron el mosaico y el punteado (AU)
ABSTRACT
A descriptive observational study was carried out on the Human papillomavirus Infection associated to the Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasm in patients attended in Cervix Pathology Department in the Provincial Hospital Dr. Antonio Luaces Iraola, Ciego de Ávila, during the year 2000 and with the aim to estimate the incidence of this virus and relate some clinical and epidemiological variables in patients with Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasm (NIC). The universe was constituted by 152 patients with Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasm and the sample was constituted by 141 patients with Human papillomavirus. A survey was applied where the following variables were gathered age, first sexual relations, parity, toxic habits, cytologic diagnoses degree and colposcopic injuries. The information was processed in a computerized form. The main results were the relation of Human Papillomavirus and Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasm (NIC) with 92.8 percent, the low degree injury type I obtained the biggest number of cases with 67 percent. The beginning of sexual intercourse in groups of 16 to 20 years with 59.6 percent, smoking with 68% were the three risk factors that showed more relation and the mosaic and punctation were the colposcopic injuries that prevailed. It concludes the existence of the high relation between the Human papillomavirus and the cervical intraepithelial Neoplasm (AU)
