Medicamentos no tradicionales en el tratamiento de pacientes con heridas que curan por segunda intención / Non traditional drugs in the treatment of patients with wounds which cure by second intention

RESUMEN

Actualmente existen nuevos medicamentos con una alta efectividad en el tratamiento de pacientes con heridas que curan por segunda intención. Por ello se decidió efectuar una revisión bibliográfica sobre los efectos, las indicaciones y el modo de uso de algunos de estos productos no tradicionales, más modernos y efectivos, que se comercializan internacionalmente; entre los cuales se consideraron los factores de crecimiento, las interleucinas, el colágeno, la quitina, el ozono, el éter polivinilbutílico, los desbridantes, la oligoterapia, los dispositivos de presión negativa, las vendas inteligentes, los apósitos interactivos y bioactivos, y la cura en ambiente húmedo. Asimismo, se señala el uso de las células madres, la terapia génica y los péptidos de defensa, como posibilidades más prometedoras para el futuro. Estos nuevos medicamentos no son empleados en Cuba, pero de ser incorporados al Sistema Nacional de Salud, influirían en el mejoramiento de la calidad de la atención médica en pacientes con heridas dehiscentes(AU)

ABSTRACT

At present there are new drugs with a high effectiveness in the treatment of patients with wounds which cure by second intention. That is why it was decided to make a literature review on the effects, cause of prescription and use of some of these non traditional, more modern and more effective products which are internationally marketed; among which there were the growth factors, interleukins, collagen, quitine, ozone, polyvinilbutilic ether, drugs for debridement, olygotherapy, the negative pressure devices, the intelligent bandages, the interactive and bioactive dressings, and the cure in humid atmosphere. Also, the use of mother cells is pointed out, the gen therapy and the defense peptides, as greater promising possibilities for the future. These new drugs are not used in Cuba, but if they are included to the National Health System, they would influence in the improvement of the medical care quality in patients with dehiscent wounds(AU)
