Diagnóstico del papel del profesorado en el proceso enseñanza aprendizaje del método clínico en la carrera de Medicina / Diagnostic role of teachers in the teaching-learning process of the clinical method in Medicine career

RESUMEN

El objetivo de este trabajo es diagnosticar el papel del profesorado en el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje del método clínico en el quinto año de la carrera de Medicina del Hospital Provincial General Docente Dr Antonio Luaces Iraola. La investigación se ejecutó desde septiembre de 2012 hasta julio de 2013. Se analizaron a 15 profesores de las diferentes estancias del quinto año que fueron observados y encuestados intencionalmente. Del diagnóstico resultó que el 100 por ciento del profesorado considera que el nivel de desarrollo de los estudiantes en la aplicación del método clínico tiene que ser alto. Al aplicar una escala de valores en la observación a clases, con el objetivo de valorar la orientación y la adquisición de habilidades en la aplicación del método, se obtuvo que el rango mayor oscila entre muy adecuado y adecuado. En la observación de las actividades de educación en el trabajo para valorar el empleo de los pasos y el desarrollo de las habilidades del método clínico, solo el 18,3 por ciento del estudiantado califica de forma muy adecuada. El tratamiento de los contenidos, que conforman el método clínico, aparece de forma fragmentada y sin una sistematización coherente. Estos resultados indican la necesidad de un accionar en las actividades de educación en el trabajo para desarrollar esta habilidad en los estudiantes (AU)

ABSTRACT

The objective of this work is to diagnose the role of teachers in the teaching learning process of the clinical method in the fifth year of medicine career from the Provincial General Teaching Hospital Dr Antonio Luaces Iraola. The research was carried out from September 2012 until July 2013. It was examined 15 professors of the different rooms of the fifth year that were observed and surveyed intentionally. The 100 percent of the teachers considered that the level of development of the students in the implementation of the clinical method has to be high. To apply a scale of values in observing classes, with the aim of recognizing the orientation and the acquisition of skills in the application of the method, it was obtained that the highest range is among appropriate and very appropriate. In the observation of education activities in work to assess the use of the steps and the development of the skills of the clinical method, only 18.3 percent of the student body qualifies in a very adequately way. The treatment of contents, which make up the clinical method, appears fragmented and without a coherent systematization. These results indicate the need of an action in education activities to develop this skill in students (AU)
