RESUMEN
Se realizó un estudio experimental dada la necesidad de lograr la inserción socio-laboral de las personas discapacitadas mentales, con una preparación que permita logros y resultados positivos en la participación plena de ellos en su entorno social, se efectuó un análisis sobre la problemática de la ubicación laboral e inserción social de los 220 retrasados mentales moderados del municipio de Manzanillo lo cual constituyó el universo de estudio. Debido a la carencia de puestos de trabajo que respondan a sus características se procedió a la creación de diez talleres protegidos productivos enmarcados en todas las áreas de salud del municipio, que generaron 200 empleos para los mismos mediante un proyecto multifactorial en el cual participan organismos como MINSAP (Atención Primaria de Salud), Instituto Superior Pedagógico, MINED, Cruz Roja, Hospital Psiquiátrico y Dirección Municipal de Trabajo, con la atención de defectólogos y alumnos de psicopedagogía quienes imparten capacitación en materia de autovalidismo, sexualidad, alfabetización, terapia ocupacional y aprendizaje de colores, logrando en ellos su rehabilitación y sociabilización. Entre otros se ha logrado la disminución en ellos de los rasgos de agresividad, trastornos del sueño y trastornos de la conducta, mejoría notable de las relaciones interpersonales; se logró establecer relaciones afectivas y aumentar su autoestima; se formaron valores morales en los discapacitados, se logró alfabetizar a aquellos que nunca asistieron a escuelas especiales, se dio respuesta de empleo a 200 retrasados mentales moderados; se lograron además beneficios a la población aledaña con la compra de las producciones de los talleres(AU)
ABSTRACT
It was performed an experimental study because of the need to obtain the socio- labour insertion of the mentally disabled persons, with a preparation that allows success and positive results in their full participation in the social environment, it was made an analysis on the problem of the labour location and social insertion of the 220 mentally disabled persons of Manzanillo municipality which constituted the universe of study. Because of the lack of places of work that answered to their characteristics there were created ten protected productive workshops in all of the health areas of the municipality, that generated 200 employments for them by means of a multifactorial project in which several organizations participate, like MINSAP (Primary Health Care), the Pedagogical Superior Institute, MINED, Red Cross, Psychiatric Hospital and Municipal Direction of Work, with the assistance of defectologists and students of psychopedagogics who give qualification in matter of autovalidism, sexuality, literacy, occupational therapy and learning of colors, favouring their rehabilitation and sociabilization. It has been obtained the decrease in aggressiveness, sleeping and behavior disorders, remarkable improvement of the interpersonal relations; there were obtained affective relationships increase the self-esteem; there were formed moral values in the disabled patients, favouring the learning of reading and writing to those who never assisted to special schools, it was given an answer of employment to 200 mentally moderated disabled persons, obtaining also profits to the population with the purchase of the workshops productions(EU)
