Rehabilitación en psiquiatría. Consideraciones teóricas y una propuesta integral / Psychiatric rehabilitation. Theoretical considerations and a proposal for reunification trends

RESUMEN

Los autores teniendo en cuenta la revisión bibliográfica y sus propias experiencias presentan algunas consideraciones y propuestas referidas al concepto, aspectos de la metodología, modelos fundamentales y substrato neurofisiológico de la rehabilitación. Entienden el concepto como un fenómeno o proceso. Señalan cuatro fases en la metodología (diagnóstico, objetivos, tratamiento y evaluación). Reconocen cuatro modelos básicos de rehabilitación (psicoeducación, entrenamiento en habilidades sociales, rehabilitación neurocognitiva y terapia ocupacional). Señalan a la neuroplasticidad como el sustrato neurofisiológico, abordando las características que debe reunir una actividad terapéutica para su desarrollo adecuado y brindan su criterio sobre una proyección integral(AU)

ABSTRACT

The authors are presenting conceptual considerations of rehabilitation in psychiatry, methodological aspects and fundamental models relating to the essence of the neurophysiological rehabilitation based on a review of the literature and their own clinical experiences. We propose to understand this concept as a phenomenon or a process. The methodology consists of four phases diagnosis, objectives treatment and evaluation. The four fundamental models of rehabilitation are psycho education, social skills training, neurocognitive rehabilitation and occupational therapy. We point to neuroplasticity as the neurophysiological core at the same time as taking in consideration the characteristics that needs to have any therapeutic activity for its proper development and finally we suggest an integrated approach(AU)
