Conservación de la vitalidad pulpar en un diente con pulpa expuesta por más de tres días / Conservation of pulp viability in a tooth with pulp exposure for more of three days

RESUMEN

Se describe la importancia del correcto tratamiento de dientes traumatizados para conservar la vitalidad pulpar y lograr el cierre apical. La paciente de 8 años acudió a consulta con fractura complicada de corona del 21 a nivel cervical, la pulpa había estado expuesta por más de tres días también presentaba fractura no complicada de corona en el 11. Los Rx mostraron formación apical incompleta y ápices abierto en ambos dientes. Se realizó una técnica de amputación pulpar y reconstrucción del diente con un pin y resina fotopolimerizable en el 21 y recubrimiento pulpar indirecto en el 11. Después de un año de realizado el tratamiento se corroboró la conservación de la vitalidad pulpar y cierre apical en ambos dientes (AU)

ABSTRACT

We describe the importance of the correct treatment of traumatized teeth and maintenance of pulp viability. An 8 years old female patient was received complaining of a traumatic injury on tooth 21 with pulp exposure from more of three days. On tooth 11 the patient showed a traumatic injury on the crown, affecting enamel and dentin. The Rx showed an incomplete formed root and open apex on both teeth. A pulp amputation therapy and restoration using pin and light cure resin were selected as treatment for the first tooth. The tooth 11 was treated with the restoration using light cure resin. Past one year the pulp are vital and the apex are close on booth teeth (AU)
