Quiste broncogénico en un recién nacido / Bronchogenic cyst in a newborn baby

RESUMEN

Los quistes broncogénicos son anomalías congénitas poco frecuentes, que se originan en el árbol traqueo bronquial primitivo. Afectan más comúnmente al pulmón y mediastino posterior, aunque también se han reportado en la piel y el tejido celular subcutáneo, la localización más frecuente es el manubrio supraesternal. Por lo general se diagnostican poco después del nacimiento. Se reporta el caso de un recién nacido de veinticinco horas, remitido desde el municipio de puerto padre con una ecografía obstétrica prenatal, que refería una imagen quística en el pulmón derecho, y con una radiografía de tórax después de nacido. Se propone diagnóstico presuntivo de quiste broncogénico, el cual se confirma con una tomografía pulmonar (AU)

ABSTRACT

Bronchogenic cysts are rare congenital anomalies originating in the primitive tracheobronchial tree. They affect most commonly the lung and posterior mediastinum, although it has also been reported in the skin and subcutaneous tissue. The most frequent location is the suprasternal manubrium. Generally they are diagnosed soon after birth. The case of a 25-hour newborn baby is reported who was referred from the municipality of puerto padre with a prenatal obstetric echography that showed a cystic image in the right lung and with a thorax x-ray after being born. A presumptive diagnosis of bronchogenic cyst is set up which is confirmed with a lung ct scan (AU)
