RESUMEN

Introducción:

en Cuba el capital humano de salud es considerado el recurso más importante para el sistema sanitario. La formación de estos profesionales está basada en los principios de nuestro gobierno revolucionario la ideología marxista-leninista, la ética y el humanismo, todos campos de estudio de la Filosofía.

Objetivo:

identificar las percepciones de los egresados de la carrera de Medicina sobre la utilidad de la asignatura Filosofía y Sociedad en la prestación de servicios sanitarios en el policlínico "Pulido Humarán" del municipio La Lisa.

Métodos:

estudio descriptivo de corte transversal, donde se aplicó un cuestionario a egresados con menos de 5 años de experiencia y entrevistas en profundidad a los docentes encargados de impartir la asignatura objeto de estudio.

Resultados:

la Filosofía resultó ser, según las percepciones aportadas, la asignatura más compleja, desagradable, menos utilizada en la prestación de servicios médicos.

Conclusiones:

los egresados perciben la asignatura Filosofía y Sociedad como una materia compleja, engorrosa y no logran identificar en la práctica médica cotidiana su utilidad, a pesar de aplicar inconscientemente los conocimientos bridados por esa asignatura durante su jornada diaria(AU)
ABSTRACT

Introduction:

In Cuba, the human capital in health is considered the most important resource for the health system. The training of these professionals is based on the principles of our revolutionary government the Marxist-Leninist ideology, ethics and humanism, all of which are areas of study of Philosophy.

Objective:

Identify the medical graduates' perceptions about the subject Philosophy and Society's usefulness in providing health care services at Pulido Humarán Polyclinic of La Lisa Municipality.

Methods:

Cross-sectional descriptive study using a survey conducted on graduated with less than five years of experience and in-depth interviews to the professors in charge of imparting the subject that is our object of study.

Results:

Philosophy came to be, according the perceptions provided, the most complex, disgusting, and less used subject in providing health care.

Conclusions:

The medical graduates perceive the subject Philosophy and Society as a complex and complicated subject, and they do not manage to identify its usefulness in the medical practice, despite unconsciously daily applying the knowledge provided by this subject(AU)
