RESUMEN

Las decisiones a tomar en la práctica de la adecuación del esfuerzo terapéutico deben hacerse a partir de un determinado sistema de referencia. Se aborda el tema en el contexto social cubano, donde se impone la observancia de buenas prácticas clínicas, en la que los conocimientos y la aplicación de los principios éticos son imprescindibles. Mediante comparaciones, se hace una crítica a las teorías principalista y utilitaria, propias de los sistemas capitalistas, con el objetivo fundamental de esclarecer de manera precisa la ausencia de la influencia de estas teorías en el escenario cubano. Se pone al alcance de los lectores algunos de los conceptos y formas de pensamiento que mantienen su vigencia en el debate ético contemporáneo(AU)

ABSTRACT

Decision-making in the adaptation practice of the therapeutic conduct must be done taking into consideration a specific system of reference. This article deals with the topic in the Cuban social context, where the observance of the good clinical practices is compulsory. In this field, the knowledge and the application of ethical principles are essential. By means of comparisons the work criticizes the principalism and utilitarian theories, typical of the capitalist system. The aim is to clarify, in a precise way, the absence of the influence of those theories in the Cuban setting. The readers will have at hand some concepts and ways of thinking that are in force in contemporary ethical discussion (AU)
