RESUMEN

La cirugía ortopédica y traumatológica reagrupa, las intervenciones dirigidas a los miembros superiores e inferiores y a la columna vertebral y, es probable que ninguna otra subespecialidad de la anestesia requiera estar familiarizado con una mayor variedad de técnicas anestésicas. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo prospectivo en el Hospital Provincial Celia Sánchez Manduley en el periodo comprendido Julio-Diciembre 2019, cuya muestra de estudio quedó constituida por 104 pacientes con el objetivo de describir los resultados de la anestesia peridural en la cirugía ortopédica de miembros inferiores en pacientes intervenidos de forma electiva. Con el método anestésico aplicado los cambios hemodinámicos referidos a tensión arterial sistólicos y diastólicos, así como frecuencia cardiaca fueron poco evidentes, siendo más visibles alrededor de los 20 minutos del transoperatorio, donde dichas variables se movieron con tendencia a la hipotensión arterial y bradicardia. Se evaluó el grado de dolor mediante la escala visual análoga en distintos momentos, la puntuación más frecuente fue cero correspondiéndose con la ausencia de dolor. La incidencia de complicaciones fue baja y se presentaron en un número reducido de pacientes siendo más frecuente la hipotensión arterial. En el procesamiento de dichos datos se emplearon medidas estadísticas descriptivas como números absolutos, la media, desviación estándar además de intervalo de confianza para un 95 por ciento de confiabilidad apoyado en el sistema estadístico SPSS, los datos fueron presentados en tablas estadísticas para su mejor ilustración y discusión(AU)

ABSTRACT

Orthopedic and traumatological surgery regroups, interventions aimed at the upper and lower limbs and the spine and, it is likely that no other subspecialty of anesthesia requires familiarity with a greater variety of anesthetic techniques. A prospective descriptive study was carried out at the Celia Sánchez Manduley Provincial Hospital during the period July-December 2019, whose study sample consisted of 104 patients with the aim of describing the results of peridural anesthesia in orthopedic surgery of lower limbs in patients operated on electively. With the anesthetic method applied, hemodynamic changes related to systolic and diastolic blood pressure, as well as heart rate were not very evident, being more visible around 20 minutes after the operation, where these variables moved with a tendency to arterial hypotension and bradycardia. The degree of pain was assessed using the visual analog scale at different times, the most frequent score was zero corresponding to the absence of pain. The incidence of complications was low and they occurred in a small number of patients, with arterial hypotension being more frequent. In the processing of said data descriptive statistical measures were used as absolute numbers, the mean, standard deviation in addition to a confidence interval for a 95 percent reliability supported by the SPSS statistical system, the data were presented in statistical tables for better illustration and discussion(EU)
