ABSTRACT
The capabilities for computer technologies to provide aid in disaster response are now well recognized. Effective response requires managing information flow prior to, during, and after potentially catastrophic events. Information technology can play a vital role in this process. The purpose of this report is to discuss a relatively new facet of information technology, Artificial intelligence. Because of the newness of the technology, We can only illustrate its possible usefulness by describing a system that we have implemented for demostration and research purposes (AU)
