RESUMEN
Antecedentes. La aplicación de la gestión clínica ofrece un estilo de dirección que prioriza el factor humano y ayuda a que cada persona aporte sus mejores cualidades personales y profesionales a la empresa. En las últimas décadas se conforma un cambio en la cultura de las organizaciones que transforma los roles de los actores en los procesos asistenciales. Objetivos. El presente artículo pretende a) definir el marco conceptual y legislativo que promueve la responsabilidad, la autonomía, la descentralización de la gestión y la toma de decisiones; b) establecer los elementos fundamentales que posibilitan el desarrollo de las unidades de gestión clínica, y c) exponer los beneficios que reporta la gestión clínica a los actores implicados en el proceso asistencial profesionales asistenciales, gestores y pacientes. Metodología. En el Servicio de Salud Público en Andalucía se definen los elementos conceptuales que determinan la gestión clínica y las ventajas para los actores del proceso asistencial ciudadanos, profesionales asistenciales y gestores
ABSTRACT
Background. The application of clinical management provides a managerial style that prioritizes the human factor and encourages each individual to lend his or her best personal and professional qualities to the organization. In the last few decades the culture of health care organizations has undergone a change that is transforming the roles of the actors in the healthcare process. Objectives. The present article aims to a) define the conceptual and legislative framework that promotes responsibility, autonomy, and decentralization of management and decision making; b) establish the bases that enable the development of clinical management units, and c) present the possible benefits of clinical management for the actors involved health professionals, managers and citizens. Methodology. The conceptual elements that determine clinical management and the benefits for the actors involved in the healthcare process (citizens, health professionals and managers) are defined in the Andalusian Public Health Service
