RESUMEN
El presente trabajo pretender esbozar un perfil socio-psicológico de las personas que cuidan de manera informal a personas mayores dependientes. El estudio se ha realizado con un total de 42 sujetos cuidadores, extraídos de diferentes ámbitos geográficos y socioculturales. En general los participantes de la muestra manifiestan altos niveles de ansiedad y estrés en el cuidado de los mayores dependientes. La mayoría de los cuidadores son mujeres, el parentesco más frecuente es el de hija, no suelen recibir ayuda económica y suele crearse un mal ambiente entre los familiares de la persona mayor cuidada; también, están afectados físicamente por el cuido y manifiestan tener poco tiempo para su vida personal
ABSTRACT
The present piece of research wants to describe a social and psychological profile about informal caretakers, they are working with older disabled people. A sample of 42 informal caretakers were selected from diferent social and cultural places. The informal keepers show a high level of anxiety and stress. Many informal caretakers are women, tthe most frequent kinship are daughters, they do not get any money, The problems among the family are ordinary; their physical health is not good, and they manifest that, they have no time for themselves
