Examen de salud básico en un servicio de Enfermería Escolar / Basic health examination in a School’s Nurse Office

RESUMEN

El examen de salud es una herramienta básica en la práctica enfermera, dado que permite detectar precozmente alteraciones en el desarrollo normal de niño, teniendo en cuenta la existencia de una patología crónica y fomentar estilos de vida saludables. También es el momento idóneo para detectar casos de maltrato infantil junto con otros profesionales del centro educativo. El propósito de este artículo es presentar el examen de salud como una herramienta enfermera en el ámbito escolar y justificar su importancia sobre la base de los objetivos que persigue. Se abordarán consideraciones para su realización, los datos físicos y sobre hábitos de salud que se deben recoger, así como signos para la detección del maltrato infantil. Por último, se propone cómo se debe actuar según los resultados obtenidos (AU)

ABSTRACT

The health examination is a basic tool in nursing practice, as it allows early detection of alterations in the normal development of children, taking into account the existence of a chronic disease and to promote healthy lifestyles. It is also the ideal time to detect cases of child abuse, along with other school professionals. The purpose of this paper is to present the health examination as a nursing tool in the school setting and justify its importance based on the objectives pursued. For its implementation, the health examination will include the collection of data on physical and health habits and will help detect signs of child abuse.
