ABSTRACT
We report the cases of five patients with hypertrophy and/or asymmetry of the labia minora presenting in a 14-year period (1994-2007) (0.009%), and 6 patients presenting in a 3-year period (2008-2010) (0.031%). All the patients sought surgical treatment due to discomfort. There were significant differences (p < 0.05). There were no significant differences in age or age at menarche. Several patients decided not to undergo surgery. We believe that the increased demand for resection in the last few years could be due to fashion
