ABSTRACT
Objective: to analyze the consumption of normal and functional dairy products in climacteric and non-climacteric women, as well as to verify if there are significant differences between both. Method: cross-sectional descriptive study in 77 women in a fork of age 18-80 years, resident in Ciudad Real. Data collection: self-administered survey with Likert scale. Data analysis: Chi-square, significance value p, confidence intervals. Results: 98% of climacteric women (n=41, SD=6.36, CI95%=35.08-37.92) and 91% of non-climacteric women (n=32) consume normal dairy products, without significant differences:. If we talk about the inclusion of functional dairy products in the diet, 45% of the climacteric (n=19, SD=7.78, CI95%=11.76-15.24) and 23% of the non-climacteric (n = 8) Less than once a month, with statistically significant differences. Discussion: The Ministry of Agriculture notes that 12.2% of the food expenditure of Spanish families belongs to dairy products. According to the European study 'Food SME-HOP'in 2016 184 functional foods were launched in Spain, 15 of them dairy products. Conclusions: there are no statistically significant differences in the consumption of normal dairy products, but there are differences in functional products in both groups (AU)
