RESUMEN
El trastorno de hiperactividad y déficit de atención es el trastorno más frecuente en la neurología del desarrollo.Las características clínicas son evolutivamente diferentes, llegando a manifestarse incluso en la edad adulta.Como su propio nombre indica, se caracteriza por la presencia de inquietud motriz, impulsividad y dispersión atencional. El diagnóstico es exclusivamente clínico; la detección precoz de este trastorno, así como los abordajes farmacológico y psicológico adecuados son necesarios para el buen rendimiento escolar y la adecuada adaptación social y laboral de estos pacientes (AU)
