RESUMEN
Se revisaron 106 pacientes con patología gástrica a los cuales se les tomó bipsia y citología utilizando el fibrogastroscopio. La correlación citohistológica fue excelente, con un 100%de certeza diagnostica por citología y 99.1%por la biopsia; con este procedimiento hubo 0.98%de falsos negativos. Además se pudieron identificar lesiones benignas tales como úlceras y gastritis crónica, así como microorganismos Campylobacter pylori y Candida sp. .
