RESUMEN
Se investigaron algunos datos epidemiologicos en relacion con el sindrome de dificultad respiratoria (SDR) en la poblacion neonatal del Hospital de Ginecobstetricia No. 4 del Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social. Se encontro una incidencia de SDR del 14.75 por mil nacidos vivos, una tasa de mortalidad de 8.45 por mil nacidos vivos y una letalidad del 57.3%
