Utilizaçäo dos compostos fluoretados nas águas potáveis / Utilization of the fluoride compounds in potable water

ABSTRACT

Using fluorite by the Mayer's method, we realize that we could surmount the main problems to the diffusion in Brasil of the drinking water artificial fluoridation. 1) It would not be necessary to import fluorite from foreign countries; Brasil owns it profusely in its underground. 2) The industry certainly would produce 50% more than it does now, with the development of the market. The consuption is restricted to 30% of the potencial production actually. 3) The method of fluorite employment needs practical and expensiveless equipament. 4) We could not surprise any medical contraindication to the fluoridation in the bibliography we have consulted, if it should be used within the preconized dosage (1 ppm of CaF2). 5) Bottled water is not recommended becuse of high prices. 6) There ara nothing established about fluoride quantities to be used in bread and milk, mainly for lactantbabies.
