RESUMO
Os autores apresentam dois casos de Síndrome de Abstinência alcoólica (SAA) em recém-nascidos irmäos, nascidos em maternidade do Hospital Docente Assitencial de Brasília HDA-DF). Ambos apresentavam sintomas típicos como tremores, irritabilidade e, no segundo caso, hipertonia muscular. A mäe fazia uso constante e regular de álcool. Apenas o segundo caso foi tratado. É feita também uma revisäo bibliográfica dos efeitos do álcool sobre o feto e o recém-nascido
