Para prevenir a exposiçäo excessiva a agentes químicos que podem estar presentes no ambiente de trabalho, foram estabelecidos controles de concentraçöes de agentes no ar. Para analisar o ingresso de agentes químicos por outras vias no indivíduo exposto - via digestiva e dérmica, juntamente com a respiratória - foram propostos os indicadores biológicos de exposiçäo ocupacional e exposiçäo ambiental. Esta publicaçäo objetiva mostrar aos profissionais que desenvolvem atividades relacionadas com a contaminaçäo do ambiente ou do ambiente ocupacional, os conceitos básicos sobre o tema
