RESUMEN
Se analiza el efecto de dos variables psicosociales, eventos vitales y soporte social, sobre el desarrollo de un cuadro depresivo en el postparto. Se encontró que las puérperas depresivas diferían de las normales en presentar un número mayor de sucesos vitales y un puntaje total más alto de esta escala. La variable soporte social no tiene carácter predictivo, sin embargo presenta un efecto de interacción sobre los eventos vitales
