Estudou-se a correlaçäo do fator sócio-econômico com tratamentos odontológicos realizados em crianças de 7 a 10 anos, de ambos os sexos, matriculados em escolas do 1§ grau da rede pública e particular da cidade de Niterói, Estado do Rio de Janeiro. Procurou-se fazer uma estimativa dos tipos de restauraçöes, de preparos cavitários requeridos, de material restaurador utilizado, do número de necessidades odontológicas identificadas através do índice CPOD e do número de restauraçöes em crianças de diferentes níveis sócio-econômicos
