Padräo normal de pressäo arterial da gestante adolescente / Standard blood pressure of the pregnant adolescet

RESUMO

This previous work was carried out at the prenatal, outpatient department of the "Clinica de Adolescentes da Maternidade do Hospital Assis Chateaubriand da Universidade Federal do Ceara", em 1990. Both the diastolic and systolic pressures were verified, in the seating position, of 100 pregnant adolescents at different gestational ages. It was verified, that the pressure curves of our patients did not match the standard curves for adult patients; therefore, it was decided to continue our work carrying out a prospective study of 1000 adolescents verifying their pressures in four positions sitting down, standing up, left lateral decubitus, and dorsal decubitus, comparing the curves of nuliparous and multiparous.
