RESUMO
Os autores analisam 12 pacientes portadores de fraturas transtrocantéricas do fêmur em que ocorreram falhas no material de implante. As complicaçoes mais encontradas foram migraçao do implante, quebra do material, falta de impacçao na regiao do calcar, falta de valgizaçao ou de reduçao anatômica, todas provocadas por erros no procedimento cirúrgico. Os autores recomendam avaliaçao pré-operatória precisa para possibilitar a escolha do melhor material de implante.
