RESUMO
This presentation will define a knowledge manager and discuss how this role is both similar to and differs from that traditionally considered the role of a medical librarian. Becoming a knowledge manager requires some changes in philosophy and practice. Suggestions will be made as to why these changes should be made by members of the profession and how to begin to make them with minimal inconvenience.
