ABSTRACT
A patient was submitted to knee arthroscopy in order to perform lateral and medial partial meniscectomy. This was performed by using an arthroscopic pump. A massive amount of extravasation of irrigation fluid into the thigh, groin, scrotum, penis, and peritoneal space was noticed at the end of the procedure. Nevertheless, there was no clinical evidence of compartmental syndrome. Diuretics were administrated while the patient was kept hospitalized. The fluid was totally excreted within 48 hours. The patient suffered from no further sequelae.
