Investigación de problemas críticos y su aplicación académica en la Maestría en Educación Médica / Research on critical problems and its academic application in the Medical Education Master´s course

RESUMEN

La aplicación del módulo de Gerencia Universitaria en Salud formando parte de la Maestría en Educación Médica, dirigida a futuros docentes de la carrera de Medicina en una Universidad latinoamericana, conllevó la articulación de ejercicios prácticos congruentes con el marco teórico del plan de estudios que les permitieran transmitir conocimientos y obtener hábitos, habilidades y destrezas necesarias para su desempeño, y en el plano institucional, proveerlos de herramientas de trabajo que les facilitaran analizar el pasado, hacer valoraciones desde el presente y obtener experiencias para el futuro de una Universidad dirigida a formar los profesionales requeridos según las necesidades en salud de su población; todo ello mediante la aplicación del Análisis situacional de la planificación estratégica de intervenciones en Salud, de la Teoría gerencial y la gestión de recursos humanos. Se desarrolló, previa identificación de la misión institucional, un análisis de la situación institucional y de su ámbito externo, mediante la aplicación posicional en el análisis subjetivo, intersubjetivo, objetivo e histórico; la determinación del tipo de gestión imperante a que se aspira y la calidad que se desea alcanzar; la formulación de la visión institucional y sus objetivos y la constitución de la situación-objetivo, para arribar a la identificación de los problemas institucionales y de su ámbito externo como un primer momento del ejercicio planificado. La exposición secuencial de los pasos seguidos por el grupo permitió, mediante un proceso andragógico y estratégico, sentar pautas para hacer frente a situaciones prospectivas en el marco laboral

ABSTRACT

The application of the University Health Management module as part of the medical education master´s course, aimed at the future professors of the medical career in the Latin American University involved the articulation of practical exercises in keeping with the theoretical context of the curricula that allow them to convey knowledge and acquire habits, abilities and dexterity required for their performance as educators, and also, at the institutional level, to provide them with working tools that will facilitate to analyze the past, to make assessment in the present and obtain experience for the future of a University in charge of forming the professionals that the population's health needs require. All the above-mentioned may be achieved by applying the situational analysis of the strategic planning of health interventions in the managerial theory and the human resources management. After identifying the institution´s mission, an analysis was made of the institution´s situation and its external context, through the positional implementation in the subjective, intersubjective, objective and historical analysis; the determination of the type of management which we aspire to and the quality that is expected; the formulation of the institutional vision and its objectives together with the creation of the situation-objective element to arrive at identifying the institutional problems and their external context as a first step of the planned exercise. The sequential presentation of the steps followed by the group allowed, by an andragogic and strategic process, establishing the guidelines to cope with the prospective situations in the working context.
