ABSTRACT
There are many studies relating the emergence, forecast and the curse of mood disorders to certain environmental events. Particularly, events related to stress, social and affective support. In the following essay, we sought to integrate both lines of thinking into the adult attachment theory. This theory is ideal for developing clinical interventions that pretend effective action in psychotherapy and psycho-education because the evidence provides results that relate to stress and affective process. We suggest some general recommendations in developing clinical interventions for patients with mood disorders, through integrations of the evidence available.
