RESUMO

A construção teórica de categorias nosológicas desempenha um papel fundamental para a racionalidade médica. Estruturado a partir dos modelos de cientificidade oriundos do desenvolvimento da física clássica, o saber médico apresenta-se, contudo, como um agregado irregular de disciplinas onde muitas das noções fundamentais são implícitas, levando ao surgimento de contradições insuperáveis no seu interior e na sua relação com a prática. Este trabalho analisa em detalhe alguns dos pressupostos desta racionalidade, procurando explicitar os obstáculos que estes produzem para que se alcancem os objetivos éticos da prática terapêutica.

ABSTRACT

The theoretical construction of nosologic categories plays a major role in medical rationality. Structured upon scientific models originated from the development of classical physics, medical knowledge is, however an irregular aggregate of disciplines where many of its fundamental notions are implicit, leading to the production of contradictions that cannot be overcome, both intemally and in it's relations to clinics. This paper analyses in detail some of the preconceptions of this rationality, attempting to outline the obstacles that they produce, which in tum hamper the fulfillment of the ethical goals of the therapeutic practices.

La construction théorique des categories diagnostiques est fondamental pour la racionalité medicale. Le savoir médical est structuré sur les modéles scientifiques produites par la phisique classique, mais il paraitre un ensemble irrégulier de disciplines oú les idées fondamentales sont implicites, donc contradictions insurmontables surgent. Cet travail annalises la racionalité biomedicale, en cherchant de montrer les obstacles que cette racionalité produit, empêchant la consecution pleine de les objectifs de la practique therapeutique.
