RESUMO
O presente trabalho tem como objetivo colaborar com o cirurgião-dentista, no sentido de dar-lhe subsídios legais e éticos para lidar com circunstâncias relativas a suspeita ou real constatação de ocorrência de qualquer tipo de violência contra paciente. É certo que nestes casos o profissional encontra-se diante de um dilema, em especial por entender que muitas vezes os agressores são aqueles a quem se poderia recorrer para cessar agressão existente ou evitar agressão iminente. Ainda assim, subsiste o dever, enquanto prestador de serviço de saúde, e principalmente como cidadão, de exaurir todos os meios possíveis para tentar por fim à situação penosa enfrentada pelo paciente infanto-juvenil.
ABSTRACT
This current literature review intends to contribute to Dentistry professional, in order to give them legal and ethic (moral) assistance or aid to deal with circumstances related to suspicion or actual testifying the occurrence of any kind of violence against a patient. It's sure that in these cases the professional finds himself in face of a problem, specially understanding that most times the aggressors are those to whom one could appeal to stop the existent aggression or avoid imminent aggression. For all that remains the obligation (duty), while a health service assistant and mainly as a citizen, to exhaust all possible means to try putting an end to the painful situation faced by the childish and youthful patient.
