Trabalho e violência em adolescentes estudantes: uma contribuição do Enfermeiro / Work and violence in adolescent students: a contribution of the nurse

RESUMO

O presente estudo teve como objetivo geral investigar situações de trabalho e violência vivenciados por adolescentes estudantes de uma escola pública do município de Ipatinga-MG. Visou especificamente (1) identificar e discutir o perfil de adolescentes escolares, trabalhadores e não trabalhadores, quanto a sexo; idade; escolaridade; composição familiar; condições sócio-econômicas; lazer; saúde; tipo de ocupação, situações de trabalho, salário, vínculo empregatício e situações de risco ocupacional; (2) levantar e discutir os principais fatores determinantes da inserção dos adolescentes no trabalho; (3) Avaliar os tipos de violência vivenciados por adolescentes estudantes trabalhadores e não trabalhadores. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, do tipo Survey que utilizou o modelo transversal de investigação, com abordagem e análise dos dados quantitativa. Para o cálculo do tamanho da amostra foi considerado um erro amostral de 5% e um grau de confiança de 95%. Para coleta de dados foi utilizado um questionário aplicado, face a face, a 308 estudantes, de ambos os sexos, com idades entre 14 e 18 anos, trabalhadores e não trabalhadores de uma escola pública de Ipatinga-MG, no período de abril a agosto de 2008. Embora as mulheres fossem a maioria no grupo estudado (57,5%) na comparação com os homens (42,5%), o percentual de trabalhadores entre os indivíduos do sexo masculino (62,6%) foi maior que os do sexo feminino (48,6%). Grande parte dos jovens ocupados pertencia às raças preta e parda (42,8%). Os meninos foram as maiores vitimas dos acidentes ocupacionais (54,9%). A maioria dos adolescentes morava com os pais (67,5%), a renda familiar girava entre 2 e 6 SM e 55,4% alegaram ter uma ótima saúde. ABSTRACT

This study aimed to investigate general situation of work and violence experienced by adolescent students in a public school in the city of Ipatinga-MG. The specific targets were (1) To identify and discuss the profile of adolescent students, workers and not workers, according to sex, age, school education, family composition, social and economic conditions, leisure, health, type of occupation, conditions of employment, wages, employment and situations of occupational risk; (2) To correlate the main factors driving the integration of adolescents at work; (3) To evaluate the types of violence experienced by adolescent students that work and the adolescents that are just studying. It is a descriptive study of type Survey that used the model of cross research, with approach and analysis of quantitative data. For composition of the sample was considered a sampling error of 5% and a degree of confidence of 95%. In collects data was used a questionnaire administered, face to face, to 308 students from a public school in Ipatinga-MG, of both sexes, aged between 14 and 18 years, working and non-employees during the period from April to August 2008. Although women were the majority in the study group (57.5%) in comparison with men (42.5%), the percentage of workers among males (62.6%) was higher than the female (48.6%). Most young students that work belonged to races black and brown (42.8%). The boys were the most victims of occupational accidents (54.9%).
