RESUMO
Neste trabalho os autores relacionaram o lado da fissura e a coordenação motora ativa, quanto à preferência manual, em 114 pacientes portadores de fissura labiopalatina, com idade a partir de 4 anos, do Ambulatório da Disciplina de Prótese Buco Maxilo Facial da Faculdade de Odontologia da Universidade de São Paulo. Os resultados obtidos não mostraram correlação entre a preferência manual e o lado da fissura.
ABSTRACT
In this study the authors relate cleft side of the handedness of 114 patients with cleft lip and palate aged 4 and above attending the Cleft Lip and Palate Clinic of Oral and Maxillofacial Prosthesis of the University of São Paulo. The results obtained showed no correlation in the handedness between different types of cleft.
