ABSTRACT
This paper supports the thesis that, from a psychoanalytical standpoint, obesity is not asymbolic association or a symptom but a solution produced by the subject to deal with a nonabsorbed and non-symbolized fruition. This mode of addressing fruition does not occur through sexuality thus implying in a refusal of the unconsciousness. The author presents a theoretical panorama to help understand feminine obesity according to Freuds contributions on feminine sexuality and Lacans sexuation formulas. The author hypothesizes that feminine morbidobesity can be related to an insatiable love demand, unlimited by the phallic aspect of sexuation - not addressed to a sexual partner. To conclude, the author presents a clinical case analyzed according to the clinical and theoretical orientation developed beforehand.
