A promoção da saúde e da atividade física no sistema único de saúde / Physical activity and health promotion in the context of the brazilian public health system

RESUMO

Estão bem estabelecidas na literatura as evidencias dos benefícios da Atividade física na prevenção de DCNT. A Secretaria de Vigilância em Saúde (SVS) do Ministério da Saúde tem desenvolvido diversas ações visando induzir programas e intervenções de promoção a saúde e atividade física no âmbito do Sistema Único de Saúde. O trabalho atual descreve estas ações, desde a aprovação da Política Nacional de Promoção da Saúde e a priorização da atividade física (AF), o financiamento de projetos de AF em municípios, a avaliação e monitoramento dos mesmos, a organização da vigilância dos fatores de risco e protetores das DCNT, ações de educação em saúde e capacitação.

ABSTRACT

It has been well established in literature the evidence of the benefits of Physical Activity (PA) in NCD prevention. The Health Surveillance Secretariat (SVS) of the Ministry of Health has developed several actions in view of inducing health promotion and physical activity within the Brazilian Health System (SUS). The current paper describes these actions, from the approval of the National Health Promotion Policy, financing of PA projects in municipalities, and evaluating and monitoring of them, the organizing of the surveilance of the risk factors and protection of NCD health education actions and training.
