O uso do apontador laser no tratamento da afta bucal / The use of laser point in the treatment of the oral aphthous ulcer

RESUMO

O objetivo deste trabalho foi analisar os possíveis efeitos da ação da radiação laser, emitida pelos apontadores lasers, sobre as úlceras aftosas bucais. Concordaram em participar do estudo, 30 pacientes portadores de aftas bucais. Foi utilizado como fonte para a irradiação, um apontador laser de diodo de baixa intensidade, classe 2 (potência de 1 mW). Comprimento de onda de 655 nm, emissor de luz vermelha e feixe de luz com 4 mm de diâmetro. Cada aplicação foi feita por três minutos, com dose de 1,5 J/cm2. Todos os pacientes relataram alívio da sintomatologia dolorosa logo após a aplicação do laser, sendo que em 26 casos a dor desapareceu. Todos os pacientes com histórico de aftas relataram uma diminuição no tempo de cicatrização das lesões. Não houve nenhum sinal de efeito indesejável da aplicação desse tipo de laser sobre a reparação das lesões.

ABSTRACT

The objective of this work went analyze the possible effects of the laser radiation, emitted by the lasers pointers, on the oral aphthous ulcers. They agreed in participating in the study, 30 patient carriers of aphthous ulcers. It was used for the irradiation a laser point of diode of low intensity, class 2 (output power 1 mW), wave length 655 nm, originator of red light and light bunch with 4 mm diameter. Each application was made by 3 minutes, with dose 1,5 J/cm2. All the patients told relief of the pain soon after the action of the laser, and in 26 cases the pain disappeared. All the patients with historical of aphthous ulcers told a decrease in the time of cicatrization of the lesions. There was not any sign of undesirable effect of the application of that type laser about the repair of the lesions.
