RESUMO
O presente artigo trabalha com a temática do associativismo voluntário tomando por base o aporte teórico da teoria da dádiva (1960). Em sua base empírica, estão os dados primários advindos de uma pesquisa realizada com dirigentes e/ou fundadores de catorze associações voluntárias brasileiras identificadas por uma filosofia de ação comum. A discussão analisa a ação dessas associações e outras ações voluntárias também surgidas no cenário brasileiro da década de noventa do século XX. Destacamos como conclusão o fato de que às iniciativas voluntárias é preciso ancorar a perspectiva de um circuito de trocas, de proximidade e reciprocidade, às custas de recairmos em ações de benemerência, que reativam a filantropia e a dependência.
ABSTRACT
The present article discusses the theme of volunteer associativism based on the theoretical foundation of the theory of donation (1960). In his empirical base are the primary data of a research carried out with leaders and/or founders of 14 Brazilian voluntary associations identified by a common action philosophy. The discussion analyzes the accomplishments of those associations and other voluntary actions also arisen in the 90s in Brazil. The necessity of anchoring to volunteer initiatives the perspective of circuit of exchange, proximity and reciprocity is highlighted in order to avoid relapses to merit actions which reactivate philanthropy and dependence is highlighted as a central conclusion.
