ABSTRACT
The piezoelectric surgery has been studied for more than ten years in Europe, with very good results. One of the advantages of this new technique is its ability to cut the bone tissue without surgical trauma to the neighboring soft tissues. Besides, control of the Schneiderian membrane perforation is one of the most challenging aspects of this kind of surge ry. The proposal of this study was to relate some piezoelectric surgeries in sinus lifting techniques, as well as to present their advantages as seen in the literature.
