RESUMO
Introdução:
o Sistema de Informação sobre Nascidos Vivos (SINASC) foi desenvolvidopelo Ministério da Saúde, objetivando a melhoria da qualidade das informaçõeslevantadas sobre os recém-nascidos no Brasil.Objetivo:
descrever o perfil dos nascidosvivos no município de Viçosa no período de 2001 a 2007.Metodologia:
trata-sede estudo quantitativo, descritivo, com análise de dados do SINASC, do Ministério daSaúde no período de 2001 a 2007, sobre as características relacionadas ao parto, gravidez e à mãe.Resultados:
a faixa etária predominante das mães foi entre 20 e 29 anos, atingindo 55% nessa faixa etária em 2007. O percentual de mães adolescentes sofreu redução de 18,2 para 14,6% de 2001 para 2007, respectivamente. O tipo de parto revelou aumento das cesarianas e redução de partos vaginais. Nas mães adolescentes os partos vaginais superaram as cesarianas. O baixo peso ao nascer chegou a 8% em 2007. O Índice de Apgar no primeiro e quinto minutos superior a sete atingiu 73 e 89%, respectivamente, no ano de 2007.Conclusão:
o SINASC constituiu-se em instrumento disponível para o monitoramento da população materno-infantil, possibilitando informações importantes para o acompanhamento dessa população.ABSTRACT
Introduction:
the Information System on Live Births /Sistema de Informação sobre Nascidos Vivos (SINASC) was developed by the Ministry of Health aimed at the improvement of the quality of information collected on newborns in Brazil.Objective:
to describe the live births profile in the city of Viçosa from 2001 to 2007.Methodology:
it is a descriptive quantitative study, with analyses of the Ministry of Health SISNAC data from the period 2001 to 2007, about the characteristics related to the delivery, pregnancy and the mother.Results:
the mothersï predominant age group was between 20 and 29 years old, reaching 55% in this age group in 2007. The percentage of adolescent mothers decreased from 18, 2 to 14,6% from 2001 to 2007, respectively. The kind of delivery showed increase of Cesarean sections and reduction of vaginal deliveries. In adolescent mothers vaginal births exceeded Cesarean. Low birth weight reached 8% in 2007. The Apgar score in the first and fifth over seven minutes reached 73% and 89%, respectively, in 2007.Conclusion:
SINAC was the available tool for monitoring maternal and child health, providing important information for this population monitoring.
