RESUMEN
Este trabajo se basa en el estudio de 6099 peritaciones hechas en la Unidad Médico Legal de Cartago de 1996 al 2000, donde 723 corresponden a Violencia Doméstica, con una marcada diferencia de 5.5 mujeres por 1 hombre agredido. El 93 por ciento de las lesiones incapacitaron menos de 10 días.
ABSTRACT
In this essay we study 6099 peritations made in Legal Medicine Unity of Cartago, from 1996 to 2000, where 723 cases belong to Domestic Violence, with a great difference of 5.5 to 1, female/male. 93% of the injuries got handicaps for 10 days or less.
