Interações sociais e clima para criatividade em sala de aula / Social interaction and the climate for creativity in the classroom

RESUMO

Este trabalho objetivou verificar as diferenças significativas no clima para a criatividade em turmas de 5ª série do Ensino Fundamental, as possíveis relações entre as interações professor-aluno e o clima para criatividade em sala e de que forma as concepções dos professores acerca da criatividade se inter-relacionam com um clima mais ou menos favorável à criatividade. O estudo foi realizado em uma escola pública do Distrito Federal e seus resultados sugerem que existem graus diferentes no clima para criatividade nas turmas estudadas. As turmas que evidenciaram um clima mais favorável à criatividade, também apresentaram, com mais frequência, interações professor-aluno de sintonia, cooperação e domínio em comparação às interações de desconsideração. Com relação às concepções dos professores sobre criatividade e como promovê-la, foi observado que o envolvimento e o preparo do professor têm maior influência em sua atuação em sala do que as suas concepções.

ABSTRACT

This study aim was to investigate whether there were significant differences in the climate for creativity among fifth grade classes; to identify possible relationships between the teacher-student interactions and the climate for creativity in the classroom; and to identify how the teachers’ beliefs about creativity and its promotion in the classroom were related to a more or less favorable climate for creativity in the classroom. The study was performed in a public school of Distrito Federal and suggests that there are different degrees of climate for creativity in the fifth grade classes. Those classes exhibiting a more favorable climate for creativity also showed more frequent instances of teacher-student interaction involving harmony, cooperation and command, compared to that of disregard. With regard to the teachers’ beliefs about creativity and how to promote it, the study shows that the teacher’ preparation are more important than their beliefs about the phenomena.
