ABSTRACT
Upper lumbar disc herniations (L1 to L3) occur in less than 5% of all disc herniation cases. Most of the lumbar disc herniations are located at L4-5 and L5-S1 levels. The authors relate a case of a patient presenting a lumbar pain and radiating over the left anterior left thigh related to L2 and L3 radiculopathy due to L1-2 and L2-3 disc herniations and discuss the clinical features, treatment and differential diagnosis.
